About the Artist: Hrothgar Jackson is a Vancouver-based alt-country singer-songwriter known for lyrically rich songs that explore heartache, longing, and regret edged with humour and a sharp sense of irony. The project is the creative vehicle of songwriter Rodger Cove, who performs both solo and with the Hrothgar Jackson Band (a trio featuring Adrian Popple on bass/guitar/vocals and Doug Quiring on drums/vocals). His collection, Hrothgar Jackson's Songbook, Vol. 1: Infidel and Other Lyrics, features 52 tracks from his repertoire. A familiar face at open mics in Vancouver and on Mayne Island, Hrothgar has also performed at pubs, lounges, and Vancouver's Performing Arts Lodge Studio Theatre.

About This Show: Hrothgar will be performing solo, featuring songs from Songbook Vol. 1 alongside brand-new material — all original music about the full, messy, beautiful range of human experience.
