Step inside a special live episode of keener's corner, performed and recorded at Aperture Coffee Bar in Vancouver. This storytelling DJ session blends curated tracks, live instrument elements, and personal narrative, all shared in an intimate setting. From jazz to soul and elements of house, the show takes you on a journey through the many musical inspirations of keener's house (Daniel Keen).
About the Artist: keener's house is the music storytelling project of Daniel Keen, a Vancouver-based DJ, videographer, and marketing professional. What started as carefully curated playlists for slow weekend mornings grew into something much deeper. From an early age, Daniel learned to attach emotion to sound through playing guitar, finding in music a sense of calm and connection to himself and the world around him. That discovery became his purpose. Over time, it evolved into DJing and the creation of keener's corner, a monthly mix series filmed and shared online, inviting anyone who finds it into a world built on atmosphere, feeling, and carefully chosen sound. With a decade of experience in videography and the music industry, Daniel brings a rare combination of sonic instinct and visual storytelling to every performance.
About the Music: keener's house moves through jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop, and downtempo electronic as one seamless, flowing set. The music is never about a single genre but about a feeling: the kind that slows time down, keeps cups full, and lets conversations breathe. Each set follows a gentle arc, opening mellow and lifting gradually, building just enough energy to make shoulders sway without ever stealing the spotlight. It is music designed to make a room feel like somewhere worth staying.
